Running Axon server not working on macOS Big Sur

After trying to run Axon server on Docker I got an exception saying WebSecurityConfiguration.class FileNotFoundException.

Hi Jhon,

could you share the entire stacktrace?

Thanks.

I ran this on macOS Big Sur, MacBook Air M1. Not sure if it’s a Docker problem or Axon problem because I downloaded Axon and ran it locally java -jar axonserver-VERSION.jar and it works just fine!

When running docker run -d --name axon-server --platform linux/amd64 -p 8024:8024 -p 8124:8124 --network springbankNet --restart always axoniq/axonserver:latest

I get this:

I get the same error without --platform linux/amd64

Hi guys,

This is an issue because of the fact that you try to run Axon Server with an amd64 Docker Image - didn’t work for me either on my M1 MacBook.

I overcame it by building an Axon Sever image with a JVM that has been migrated to the arm64 architecture - works perfectly.

I also created a post here, where I suggest to provide a Docker Image for arm64 by default.

Regards,
Markus

Ohh, got it. Thank you, I’ll try that.

@_axxelia_Markus @johncerpa would you be able to elaborate on how you built your own Axon Server image? Is there any documentation on that?

@_axxelia_Markus @johncerpa @bbrinx Hello guys, is any news about native Docker image for Apple M1, or some guide how to build such image of Axon Server SE? I will be very appreciate!

The new Axon Server images suffixed by -dev are arm64 compatible Docker Hub
