Hi Christian,
the example you reference shows a simple way to move state between contexts.
You could use two Axonserver contexts for this, which would require a subscription for Axonserver, since the freely available one is limited to a single context.
If the source context is not an Axonserver context, e.g. because events are already stored in a relational database, this would work with the community edition of Axonserver. In this case, you would need to configure the event processors and their bus manually.
Also note, that we have updated the name of the versions/editions, you can read up on the pricing page here: AxonIQ Pricing . As the overview page does not state anything about contexts, I will double-check with product management, to ensure this was not changed in the meantime.
Kind regards,
Marco
Hi Christian,
as promised, I checked with product management.
My answer was only partially correct: The new pricing model includes a developer tier, for which the restriction of only having one context was lifted.
So you can use AS without a subscription (the former CE), if you need only one context, and you can use the free developer tier if you do need two contexts.
The enterprise version of course, comes with no such restrictions.
Kind regards,
Marco
Thanks Marco, for your swift reply. I am lobbying internally to move to the prof edition.
