shows version 4.2.1 is available – but it hasn’t been marked with the “latest release” tag.

Should users of 4.2 upgrade?

Also, is

the best source of release notes / what’s changed?

Hello Steven,

version 4.2.1 is indeed the latest release. Github should now also reflect that. We do recommend upgrading, as 4.2.1 does resolve some issues found in earlier versions.
